About Brian Chou, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Chou earned his doctorate of optometry at UC Berkeley in 1999 and continued on to complete fellowship training in refractive surgery management at Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA School of Medicine.
He has authored over 60 manuscripts in the eye care field including book chapters on keratoconus, cataracts, and laser vision correction. Dr. Chou is also the author of the book Spanish Terminology for the Eyecare Team.
He received the Nuemueller Award in Optics from the American Academy of Optometry and serves on the editorial review boards for Review of Optometry and Review of Cornea & Contact Lenses.
Dr. Chou is a clinical investigator and consultant to several ophthalmic companies, and is an expert witness for the California Board of Optometry. He practices in San Diego at EyeLux Optometry and is clinic director for the practice's keratoconus referral clinic.
